The Vineyard Gazette is a community-based media organization based on the island of Martha's Vineyard.
The company was acquired in 2010 by Island philanthropists Jerome and Nancy Kohlberg from the Reston family, who had owned it for more than 40 years. In addition to the Vineyard Gazette newspaper and web site, the Gazette publishes Martha's Vineyard Magazine, capturing the character of the island for nearly 30 years, and the Best Read Guide of Martha's Vineyard, the pre-eminent tourist publication on the island.
Serving the Island of Martha’s Vineyard, seven miles off southeast coast of Massachusetts, the Vineyard Gazette is printed in its historic home in Edgartown weekly in the winter and twice weekly in the summer. The Journal of Island Life for Martha's Vineyard since 1846, the Vineyard Gazette covers news, issues and events of the island and its six towns.
